Order 450.1 Environmental Protection Program Workshop

On January 15, 2003, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued DOE Order 450.1, "Environmental Protection Program"," which requires DOE sites to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) integrated into DOE's Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS). This Order also aligns the Department's system for environmental protection with the requirements of Executive Order 13148, Greening the Government Through Leadership in Environmental Management. All DOE Federal and contractor staff and other interested parties are invited to attend a workshop sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Safety and Environment to discuss issues associated with implementation of the Order.
