2007 P2 Star Winners

The P2 Star Award is an extension of the DOE-wide pollution prevention awards program which is in its 12th year. This is the second year the Office of Environment, Safety and Health has recognized exemplary performance at DOE sites through our P2 Star Awards. P2 Star Award selections were made by an independent panel of judges from EPA, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Interior.

This year's eight P2 Star Award recipients were chosen from 33 nominations from across the complex, representing a wide range of outstanding performances in reducing risk, protecting natural resources, and enhancing site operations. The following projects were selected as P2 Star winners:

blue bullet National Renewable Energy Laboratory -- Sustainable NREL - An Innovative Approach to EMS (Environmental Management Systems)

blue bullet Energy Efficiency Renewable Energy Office -- Interagency Sustainable Working Group (ISWG)

blue bullet Savannah River Site -- Savannah River's Recycle Opportunities Expand
