This quick reference guide has been developed to provide an overview of Headquarters Security programs. The official reference book for the implementation of Security requirements at DOE Headquarters is the Headquarters Facilities Master Security Plan (HQFMSP). This document provides detailed instructions for the implementation of DOE Safeguards and Security requirements as published in a number of orders, manuals, policies, notices and guides. Each Headquarters Program and Staff office participates in the Headquarters Security Officer Program and designates their own Headquarters Security Officers (HSOs). Your HSO is your primary source of information and assistance regarding Security requirements and responsibilities, works closely with the Office of Headquarters Security Operations and maintains a copy of the HQFMSP for reference.
