As was previously announced in Spotlight No. 008-2008,
the Office of Independent Oversight requires the administration
of a security questionnaire before an inspection is
performed on a site's Safeguards and Security Awareness
Program (SSAP). Headquarters Federal and Contractor
employees were randomly selected and notified to complete
a questionnaire as part of this inspection process.
The timeframe for completing this questionnaire was
originally from June 2 through June 6, 2008. However,
due to requests from many of the selected employees,
the period for completing this questionnaire has been
extended and will now be accessible until 7:00 p.m.,
EDT on Friday, June 13, 2008.
If you were notified that you were selected to participate
in this questionnaire and have not yet completed it,
please do so as this assessment is a very important
part of the Headquarters SSAP inspection process.
As a reminder, the questionnaire takes approximately
ten minutes to complete and there is no pass/fail
grading or reporting of individual scoring. The results
of the questionnaire are utilized only as a tool to
identify areas of weakness in employee knowledge of
Headquarters security processes/procedures.
For your convenience, the website to access the questionnaire
is http://www.hss.energy.gov/2008HQS/.
